About the alpinists and their journey
Alfonso Blas , 59 years of age, was born in Ferrol (a Coruña).
Carlos Cardelle, 51 years of age, was born in Bilbao.
It took twelve days to reach the peak but they had to stay en the Base Camp one day longer due to the extreme weather conditions, so thirteen days in total.

'THE TALL ONE'
Denali, aka 'Mount McKinley', is the tallest mountain in North America, located in south-central Alaska, reaching 6,190 meters above sea level and is the third-highest peak in the world.
The name 'Denali' comes from the traditional Native Alaskan language, Koyukon, and means 'the tall one' and the mountain is in the centre of Denali National Park and Preserve, which spans 6 million acres of land.
